FTB-C000576 / Implementation concept

Force Index Warm-Up

Force Index warm-up is the history needed for raw force and the first complete smoothing seed.

Definitions

In plain terms

The first close cannot produce raw force, so a 13-period smoothed series becomes ready after 13 raw-force values.

Technical

Under the Batch 010 contract, raw force begins at index 1 and the first smoothed value is ready at index 13.

Scope

Warm-up is not interchangeable with a chart's visual backfill or zero-fill policy.

Examples

  • A reviewer computes Force Index Warm-Up from a small OHLCV fixture and checks readiness, units, and edge cases before publication.

Common misconceptions

  • Warm-up is not interchangeable with a chart's visual backfill or zero-fill policy.
