Dividend Weight

Dividend weight is a constituent weight derived from its eligible dividend amount relative to the aggregate eligible dividends.

In plain terms

Companies paying more of the methodology-defined dividend measure receive larger weights, subject to caps and eligibility rules.

Technical

The input requires dividend type and horizon, gross or net basis, currency conversion, point-in-time cutoff, missing policy, normalization, and rebalance date.

Scope

Dividend weight is not the same as dividend-yield weight because market price is not its denominator.
