Also known asavailable timeknowledge time

Definitions

In plain terms

Information can describe the past and be officially published, yet reach your research database later. Availability time protects the test from using it too early.

Technical

Availability is consumer- and pipeline-specific and requires an owner, evidence source, clock, ingestion boundary, and conservative fallback policy when exact timing is unknown.

Scope

It is a governed platform field, not a claim that every provider uses the same name or boundary.

Examples

  • A governed dataset records availability time explicitly instead of inferring it from an ambiguous field.

Common misconceptions

  • Availability Time does not have one universal meaning without its stated market, source, and time context.
