ADL Gap Blind Spot

The ADL gap blind spot is the fact that the multiplier sees only the current bar's range.

Definitions

In plain terms

A gap between bars is not separately represented by the close-location formula.

Technical

Because MFM uses H_t, L_t, and C_t only, overnight or inter-session gaps require separate data fields or analysis.

Scope

ADL should not be described as a complete gap-aware order-flow measure.

Examples

  • A reviewer computes ADL Gap Blind Spot from a small OHLCV fixture and checks readiness, units, and edge cases before publication.

Common misconceptions

  • ADL should not be described as a complete gap-aware order-flow measure.
