FTB-C000162 / Evidence concept

Filing Version

A filing version is one immutable, source-identified representation in the lifecycle of a regulatory filing.

Also known asfiling vintagedocument version

Definitions

In plain terms

The original filing and each amendment should remain separately addressable so historical research can select the version known at the time.

Technical

Version identity uses issuer, form, report period, accession, acceptance timestamp, source artifact, content hash, supersession links, and local availability evidence.

Scope

Version order does not by itself say that every fact in an earlier filing was replaced.

Examples

  • A governed methodology records filing version with its source, cutoff, units, parameters, and effective version.

Common misconceptions

  • Filing Version does not have one universal implementation without the declared methodology, data basis, and constraints.
